Star Trek-style smart thermometer tracks your

temperature from your temple and warns you if you're

running a fever... 



Forget glass thermometers that you place under your tongue, this new cutting-edge digital device reads your vital signs simply by being placed on the side of your head. Resembling gadgets such as the Tricorder used on Star Trek's Starship Enterprise, the Thermo uses 16 infrared sensors to take accurate temperature readings from your temple. In fact, its makers claim the small handheld device provides one of the fastest and most accurate temperature readings on the market.


The Thermo (left) is a digital thermometer that can send readings to a phone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (right) . Profiles for multiple users can be tracked, enabling better control and management of fevers for the whole family. The device was launched at CES 2016 in Las Vegas this week, where it picked up two awards
