Apple AirPods under work, to give users freedom from wires: Report

Apple will be unveiling Bluetooth powered wireless earbuds, which would be called AirPods, a latest report claims. The company has for long been rumored to launch the earpods, and it was believed that the AirPods would be launched alongside the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

As per the report by AppleInsider , Apple's upcoming AirPods will use Bluetooth to connect to an iPhone or other Apple device.

The report doesn't confirm if the earpods would get launched this year. However, considering the rumors around Apple removing 3.5mm jack from its upcoming iPhone, the launch of earpod alongside new gen iPhones makes sense.

Considering that without the 3.5mm port on the phone, iPhone users will have to be dependent on either the connecting pin, or a Lightning connector that might get placed on the bottom of the phone.

The phone is expected to feature an adopter to convert a 3.5mm male plug to a Lightning connector, or a wireless Bluetooth device like the AirPod. Also expected is that the AirPod will be wireless, meaning it won't only charge wirelessly, but will not even have any wires between the left and right earpiece

Even though September 2016 seems to be the perfect time for the launch of the all new Apple product, there is no confirmation on whether the AirPods will be available this year.
